Jessica began her career in the mailroom at William Morris, where she became the youngest Junior Agent in the history of the firm. She moved over to the development side and spent five years at Disney, where she eventually became VP of Children’s Television Programming. She took over as Co-Director of Children’s Programming at WGBH in 2001, where she has overseen the creation of over eight series, including "Dusty." She is the recipient of seven Emmys and a Peabody Award. She serves on the Board of Trustees of A.R.T. and the Children’s Hospital Boston.


Nathan Friedman

Nathan Friedman, Executive Story Editor/Producer

After graduating with a degree in Political Science and English from Amherst, Nathan Friedman began his career in public television as researcher at "Frontline." He went on to attend the prestigious NYU Graduate School of Film, where his short film, "Syllogisms," won the Lysecompère Award from Institut de Grand Bonhomie in Lyon. After becoming disillusioned with writing for television in Hollywood ("The Michael Richards Show," "Emeril Live," and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch"), Nathan happily returned to working for Public Television where he has been involved in the development and writing of more than fifteen shows for young people. He has won five Emmys for his work on "Dusty" and has been nominated three times for a Humanitas Prize.


Peregrine Stokes-Lafferty

Peregrine Stokes-Lafferty, Author

Before venturing into the wonderful world of dust balls and adventure with his children’s book, The Curious Adventures of Dusty: The Naughty and Dirty Dust Ball, Peregrine Stokes-Lafferty wrote three novels, Heated Equinox, Elms & Alms, and Evidence of Night. He lives in Monaco with his two very naughty Abyssinian cats, Camus and Betty Ford.
